LYNCHBURG, Va. — William & Mary men's tennis fell to No. 59 Liberty, 7–0, on Sunday afternoon at the Liberty Tennis Complex.
The loss moves the Tribe to 5–5 on the season, while the Flames improve to 7–7 overall.
Liberty secured the doubles point by winning matches at No. 2 and No. 3. Benjamin Sparks and Carl Roothman defeated Dylan Chou and Nikita Bortnichek, 6–1, at No. 3 doubles, before Chase Robinson and Siwanat Auytayakul topped Albert Hansen and Theo Nilsson, 6–1, at No. 2 to clinch the point. The No. 1 doubles match between Gur Trakhtenberg and Oliver Hague and Liberty's Guy Vorwerk and R. Santiago Arraez was left unfinished.
In singles play, the Flames claimed all six courts to secure the team victory.
Gur Trakhtenberg pushed his match to three sets at No. 1 singles before falling to Arraez, 3–6, 6–3, 7–5. Oliver Hague battled at the No. 2 position but dropped a 6–4, 7–5 decision, while Nikita Bortnichek fell 6–3, 6–4 at No. 3 singles.
Dylan Chou dropped a 6–4, 6–4 match at No. 4, Austin Cohen fell 6–2, 6–1 at No. 5, and Albert Hansen was defeated 7–5, 6–1 at No. 6 singles.

William & Mary travels to Wilmington, N.C., for the Battle at the Beach next week. The Tribe opens the event against Kennesaw State on Wednesday, March 11, before facing Lehigh on Friday, March 13. William & Mary wraps up the trip with a Coastal Athletic Association matchup at UNC Wilmington on Saturday, March 14.
