CHARLESTON, S.C. — William & Mary women's tennis extended its winning streak to three matches with a 4–3 victory over Charleston on Saturday at the Turner Tennis Center at Patriots Point.
The win improves the Tribe to 10–3 overall and a perfect 4–0 in Coastal Athletic Association play, while the Cougars fall to 5–5 on the season. William & Mary also completed a sweep of its two-match road trip through the Carolinas after defeating UNC Wilmington two days ago.
Charleston opened the match by claiming the first doubles match with a win at No. 1, but the Tribe responded with victories on the other two courts, securing the doubles point for William & Mary. Alexia Gonzalez-Galino and Mira Kernagis edged Oziera Ahmad and Riley Trinkle, 7–6 (9–7), at No. 2 doubles, while Emma Pell and Yaelle Vaissaud secured the point with a 7–5 win over Jaiden McKee and Saige Severance at No. 3.
In singles play, William & Mary picked up three key victories to clinch the team win.
Francesca Davis earned a hard-fought three-set victory at No. 2 singles, defeating Ahmad, 6–4, 5–7, 6–2. Rebeka Svabikova followed with a 6–3, 2–6, 6–3 win over Francesca Salvato at No. 3, while Mira Kernagis added a straight-set 6–0, 7–6 (8–6) triumph against McKee at No. 4.
Charleston earned points with wins at No. 1, No. 5, and No. 6 singles, but the Tribe's trio of singles victories proved enough to secure the conference road win.

William & Mary returns home next week to host Stony Brook in a CAA matchup on Wednesday, March 18 at 2 p.m. at the Mackesy Tennis Center at the Millie West Courts. The Tribe will then travel to East Carolina on Sunday, March 22 for an 11 a.m. match in Greenville, N.C.
