WILLIAMSBURG, Va. – The William & Mary men's gymnastics team concluded its regular season slate with an impressive 307.55 – 301.2 victory against Simpson at Kaplan Arena on Saturday afternoon.
In addition to posting its second-best team total this season, W&M defeated the Storm in four events – floor, vault, parallel bars and high bar – and recorded a season-high 51.2 on pommel horse.
Gavin Zborowski (13.4) and
Nicholas Kosarikov (13.1) highlighted the Tribe's individual performances by winning titles on pommel horse and parallel bars, respectively.
Luke Tully also helped lead the way with second-place finishes on vault (13.95, season high) and high bar (13.1), while
Michael Weiner (13.2) and
Jonathan Irwin (13.0) placed second on floor and rings, respectively.
Also finishing among the top three in various events were
Evan Sikra (vault, 13.6 – season high),
Niko Greenly (parallel bars, 12.7) and
Ricky Pizem (high bar, 13.05).
