RICHMOND, Va. — William & Mary women's basketball junior guard Cassidy Geddes earned All-CAA Second Team honors and was named the Coastal Athletic Association Scholar-Athlete of the Year, the league announced Wednesday. A finance major at William & Mary, Geddes was recognized for her accomplishments both on the court and in the classroom.
Geddes has been a consistent leader for the Tribe this season, pacing the team in scoring at 13.6 points per game, which ranks sixth in the CAA. The junior guard also ranks among the league leaders in playing time, averaging 33.9 minutes per game, the fifth-highest mark in the conference.
On Saturday, Geddes became the 23rd player in program history to reach 1,000 career points, accomplishing the milestone with a 22-point performance in William & Mary's 61–60 victory at Hampton on March 7. She has also scored in double figures in five consecutive games entering the conference tournament.
Through 29 games this season, Geddes has totaled 395 points to go along with 68 assists, 94 rebounds, and 52 steals while starting every contest for the Tribe.
Geddes and the Tribe will open play in the 2026 Credit Union 1 CAA Women's Basketball Championship on Thursday, March 12, when No. 8 seed William & Mary faces No. 9 seed N.C. A&T at 12 p.m. The game will be streamed on FloCollege. The winner advances to face No. 1 seed Charleston on Friday at noon.
