COLUMBUS, Ohio. – The William & Mary men's gymnastics team recorded its best score of the season en route to placing third at a tri-meet hosted by No. 5 Ohio State on Saturday afternoon.
The host Buckeyes claimed the team title with a 320.65 and were followed by Army (308.1) and W&M (305.1).
In addition to posting its best team total this season, the Tribe also registered a season high on rings (48.6) and equaled a season best on parallel bars (50.45).
Luke Tully highlighted the Tribe's individual performances with a second-place finish on high bar with a season-high 13.5. Tully was also W&M's top scorer on floor (13.35) and vault (13.65).
Niko Greenly nearly posted a top-three finish on parallel bars and placed fourth by equaling a career high (13.3).
Sam Smith was the Tribe's top performer on pommel horse with a season-best 12.9, while
Jonathan Irwin and
Gavin Zborowski were W&M's top scorers on rings (12.45).
