BUIES CREEK, N.C. - Jeremiah Johnson's lay-up at the buzzer lifted Campbell to an 84-83 win over William & Mary in a back-and-forth thriller at Gore Arena on Thursday night.

Reese Miller banking jumper with 6.1 seconds remaining gave the Tribe (16-11, 7-8 CAA) a one-point lead. After the Camels advanced the ball to midcourt and called timeout, Johnson drove the left side of the paint and laid it in with no time remaining.
Miller led the charge with W&M career-high 26 points, hitting four 3-pointers on 11-of-20 shooting. Graduate student
Jo'el Emanuel added 13 points, nailing 6-of-8 free throws. Senior
Chase Lowe was a force with six rebounds, five assists, and two steals, while senior
Kyle Pulliam chipped in 12 points, converting 8-of-10 from the line. Junior
Kilian Brockhoff rounded out the double-digit scorers with 10 points.
Campbell (13-14, 7-7 CAA) hit six of its first nine from 3-point range in opening up a 20-13 just over seven minutes into the game. W&M answered with a 11-0 run to take its first lead. Emanuel scored six during the run as his 3-pointer at the 7:40 mark gave W&M the lead at 27-26.
William & Mary's lead reached 10 on a 3-pointer from Miller in the closing minute, and the Tribe took a 43-35 advantage into the locker room. W&M hit 50% from the field in the opening 20 minutes, while Campbell struggled, shooting just 34%.
A 10-0 Campbell run in the latter stages of the second half gave the home team the lead. Cam Gregory scored eight of the 10 points. His 3-point play put the Camels in front, before a fast-break lay-up stretched the margin to 73-69 with 6:39 left.
The Tribe scored six in a row to push back in front, 81-78, with 2:39 left on a pair of Brockhoff free throws. The Camels retook the lead on two Johnson free throws with 12.8 seconds left to set up the final lead changes.
Johnson was the standout for Campbell, scoring 32 points on 10-of-16 shooting, including six 3-pointers, and dishing out seven assists. Gregory added 16 points with two steals, while D.J. Smith also posted 16 points.
W&M shot 51% from the field (26-of-51) and was 23-of-31 (74.2%) at the free throw line. Campbell shot 39.7% (25-of-63), but hit 13-of-29 (44.8%) from 3 and finished 21-of-29 (72.4%) at the free throw line.
