WILLIAMSBURG, Va. — William & Mary women's tennis opened the 2026 dual season in dominant fashion Saturday afternoon, sweeping Norfolk State, 7–0, at the McCormack-Nagelsen Tennis Center.
The victory lifts William & Mary to 1–0 on the season, while Norfolk State drops to 0–1 as both teams began their dual match schedules.
William & Mary secured the doubles point with victories at No. 2 and No. 3. Alexia Gonzalez-Galino and Mira Kernagis earned a 6–1 win at No. 2, while Emma Pell and Yaelle Vaissaud posted a 6–2 victory at No. 3.
The Tribe went on to claim all six singles matches in straight sets. Sia Chaudry, Tilda Larsson, and Francesca Davis each picked up wins at the top three singles positions, while Kernagis, Rebeka Svabikova, and Gonzalez-Galino rounded out the sweep with victories at No. 4, No. 5, and No. 6.
