RICHMOND, Va.—After establishing herself as one of the top players in the Coastal Athletic Association, William & Mary lacrosse standout Kate Draddy was selected to the league's preseason all-conference honorable mention team on Thursday.

The team was selected by a vote of the league's eight head coaches.

A starter for every game of her career (49), Draddy enters her senior season ranked fourth on W&M's career draw controls list (134) and needs just 44 more to break the school record set by Sarah Cipolla.

One of the Tribe's top all-around players at both ends of the field, her career stats also include 76 points (50g, 26a), 85 ground balls and 27 caused turnovers.

As a junior last year, the Charlotte, N.C., native ranked among the CAA's top 10 in ground balls per game (2.13) and was third in the league during conference play (2.75). Additionally, she tied for first on the team in ground balls (34), second in draw controls (55), third in assists (8) and fourth in points, as her draw controls total ranked eighth on W&M's single season list. She also registered a .542 shooting percentage.

Also an exceptional student and leader, the team captain was selected to the IWLCA Academic Honor Roll last season and has earned W&M's Provost Award and the CAA Commissioner's Academic Honor Roll distinction multiple times.

W&M, which was voted sixth in the CAA Preseason Poll, will open the season when it plays at George Washington on Feb. 10, while it will host Longwood for its home opener at Martin Family Stadium on Feb. 14.
