TRIBE NOTES

Last Time Out
The Tribe dropped a 3-1 decision at home against Old Dominion on Tuesday. The Tribe was able to equalize things at 1-1 in the 19th minute thanks to a rocket of a shot by Gabe Ruitenberg with assists from Damen Burney and Michael DiOrio. The Monarchs scored two goals in the second half to earn a road win.

Spreading the Wealth
With the goal by Gabe Ruitenberg against ODU, the Tribe has had five different goal scorers in five different matches this season. Seven different players have also collected assists in 2025 for W&M, with Ruitenberg and Sam Delgado being the only player with both a goal and an assist this season.

Tribe Ties on Staff
Chris Norris heads into his 22nd year as the head coach of the Tribe in 2025 and 35th season involved with the William & Mary men's soccer as either a player or a coach. Norris made 81 starts in 84 games with W&M before graduating in 1995 and was a two-time All-CAA First Team Selection before immediately joining the staff as an assistant coach. He took the reins of the program in 2004 and has led the Tribe to four NCAA Tournaments and a 164-161-58 record.

Jeff Dominguez is back on staff as an assistant for the second time beginning this season. Dominguez, a 1999 grad, made the NCAA Tournament all four years during his playing career and won two CAA titles before going on to play professional soccer. He was an assistant under Norris in 2004-05.

Scouting Charleston
The Cougars enter Saturday's match with a 3-6-1, 0-2-1 record and are coming off a 2-1 loss to No. 19 Georgia Southern. Charleston's results in conference play are losses to UNCW and Elon with a scoreless draw to Campbell.

Scouting American
The Eagles are currently 3-4-1 and 2-0-0 in Patriot League play. American will host Army on Saturday before coming to Williamsburg. The Eagles are coming off a 1-0 win against UNCW and also notably drew Vermont earlier this year when the Catamounts were No. 1 in the nation.
