WILMINGTON, N.C.—The William & Mary men's soccer team dropped its CAA contest with UNCW on Saturday evening in Wilmington, 5-0.
The Seahawks maintained a solid attack all night and took advantage of its set piece opportunities. The hosts opened the scoring in the 6
th minute, finding the back of the net off a corner.
They followed that up with another goal via a corner in the 33
rd minute before adding an insurance goal off a rebound minutes later, leading 3-0 at the break.
Karan Sobti made eight saves in the first half for W&M in goal.
The UNCW offensive kept up its torrid pace in the second half adding goals in the 73
rd and 77
th minutes. Tribe goalkeepers combined to make 10 saves on the evening with
Jack Gorman coming in in the second half.
W&M six shots with four on goal.
Sam Delgado's two shots on frame led the way on the evening.
The Tribe will travel to Raleigh, N.C. to play No. 5 NC State on Tuesday.
