INDIANOLA, IOWA. – William & Mary standout
Ricky Pizem won the ECAC high bar title to highlight the Tribe's performances at the conference championship meet hosted by Simpson on Saturday afternoon.
The league's annual major award winners were also announced following the competition, as
Luke Tully was honored as the ECAC Freshman of the Year and
Sam Lee earned one of the conference's Sportsmanship Awards.
In addition to Pizem, who claimed the high bar title with a 13.15, four other Tribe standouts combined to garner five all-conference accolades with top-six finishes. Tully tied for second on high bar (13.1) and placed fifth in all-around (74.6), while
Evan Wilkins tied for third on floor (13.45).
Jonathan Irwin (13.05, career high) and
Connor Barrow (14.05) placed fifth on rings and vault, respectively.
Lee also narrowly missed out on earning all-conference honors on vault and placed seventh with a 13.95, while
Niko Greenly posted a pair of top-10 finishes – placing eighth on parallel bars (12.85) and ninth on rings (12.75).
Mark Fu tied for 10th on rings (12.7), while Pizem placed 10th on vault (13.75).
Army claimed the team title with a 313.5 and was followed by Navy (309.55), Greenville (307.3), Springfield (306.8), W&M (306.0) and Simpson (299.6).
The Tribe posted the meet's second-best team score on vault (54.8) and the third-best marks on rings (50.35) and high bar (51.05).
