WILLIAMSBURG, Va. – William & Mary women's tennis logged its eighth win of the season, defeating Cleveland State, 7-0, on Sunday afternoon at the McCormack-Nagelsen Tennis Center.
The Tribe (8-2) secured the doubles point with a clinching comeback win from sophomore
Francesca Davis and senior
Alessandra Anghel. Continuing Its doubles performance, W&M went on to win all six singles matches to cap off a commanding 7-0 win.

Mira Kernagis coming back from being down a break to beat Jenna Redmile and Melliz Petkova Mustafa, 6-4, on court three. The W&M pairing moved to 8-6 overall this season, including 5-3 at No. 3.
- Riding a seven-match win streak, Davis and Anghel came up clutch in a comeback win on court two to clinch the doubles point. The duo ran its mark to 9-1, defeating Sima Heren and Filippa Frogner in the tiebreaker, 7-6 (3).
- The Tribe increased its lead to 2-0 with a default victory at No. 6 as Cleveland State did not field a full singles lineup.
- Davis claimed a win at No. 4 with a straight-set, 6-4 6-2, victory over the Vikings' Jenna Redmile. The sophomore moved to an impressive 18-5 in singles this season.
- Kernagis also defeated her opponent, Filippa Frogner, in straight sets, 6-2 6-2, to clinch the Tribe victory. She tallied her 14th singles win.
- At the top spot, senior
Hedda Gurholt downed Sima Heren 6-1, 6-4, moving her mark to a 13-11 overall.

Ine Stange followed up with a comeback win on court 3. After dropping the first set to Ella Franz, 7-5, the Tribe senior won the second, 6-4, and pulled out the third-set super breaker, 11-9. She won her 12th singles match of the season.
- Finally, Anghel rounded out the Tribe sweep by topping Tereze Vevere in three sets, 6-2, 4-6, 1-0 (7), at No. 2. She moved to 15-8 overall in singles

W&M travels to Philadelphia, Pa, for a pair of matches next week. The Tribe heads to Temple on Thursday, March 13, before staying in the city to face Drexel on Friday.
