PHILADELPHIA, Pa. – William & Mary women's tennis continued its winning form by cruising to a 7-0 victory over CAA opponent Drexel on Friday afternoon.
The Tribe swept doubles to take a 1-0 lead, before claiming all six singles matches. Senior
Ine Stange provided the clincher with a victory at No. 4. W&M won its fourth match in a row while improving to 3-0 in CAA play and 10-2 overall.
How It Happened
- With only five players, Drexel (4-4, 0-2 CAA) was forced to forfeit both the No. 3 doubles and No. 6 singles positions.
- At the top two doubles posts, the Tribe claimed tiebreaker wins to sweep pairs competition. At No. 1, senior
Hedda Gurholt and Stange topped Sofia Snitko and Elisa Rigazio, 7-6 (4), to clinch the doubles point. The Tribe duo improved to 8-4 on the year.

Alessandra Anghel and sophomore
Francesca Davis closed out doubles with a 7-6 (2) win over Rebecca Fiedler and Anastasia Kavounov at No. 2. Davis and Anghel up their record to an impressive 8-1 in dual-match play.
- Coupled with the walkover on court 6, Davis dropped just three total games in a 6-1, 6-2 win over Beatriz Ibrahim at No. 5 to push the Tribe lead to 3-0. Davis ran her winning streak to four with her 20th victory of the season. She also moved to 10-2 in dual-match action.
- Stange provided the clinching win against Rebecca Fiedler, dropping only one game across both sets, 6-0, 6-1. Stange pushed her record to 8-3 in dual-match competition.
- Following up with another straight-set victory, Anghel won against Sofia Snitko 6-3, 6-3 on court 2. Anghel recorded her ninth win of the year at No. 2 and 17th overall.
- At No. 1 singles, Gurholt defeated Elisa Rigazio, 7-5, 6-4, to claim the team's sixth point of the afternoon. Gurholt won her 15th match of the year and extended her dual-match ledger to 9-3 on the top line.

Sia Chaudry finished off the Tribe sweep with a three-set win over Anastasia Kavounov on court 3. Chaudry recorded her third-straight victory and eighth in dual match play.
