WILLIAMSBURG, Va. – After establishing himself among the nation's top freshmen, defensive lineman
Justin Krueger was selected to the
FCS Football Central Freshman All-America Team.
A third-team All-CAA selection, Krueger led the Tribe in TFL (8.0) and ranked third on the squad in tackles (52). Additionally, the Marietta, Ga., native totaled 2.0 sacks, two forced fumbles and three PBU.
Highlighting his rookie campaign was a tremendous performance in the win against Elon when he was honored as the CAA Rookie of the Week after recording seven tackles with a sack and 1.5 TFL.
Krueger was especially productive during the latter half of the season, as he registered at least one TFL in five of the final six contests.
This fall Krueger helped W&M secure its fifth consecutive winning season, marking the program's longest stretch of winning seasons since the 1990s.
