Swimming Returns to Action at George Washington

WILLIAMSBURG, Va. — After a month off, Willam & Mary swimming returns to the pool as they take on George Washington in a dual meet on Saturday. The events will get underway at 10 a.m. from the Charles E. Smith Center.

LAST TIME OUT
Julie Addison broke a school record in the prelims of the 100 back with a time of 53.34 to highlight William & Mary's efforts at the WVU Invitational from Nov. 20-22. It wasn't Addison's only record, as the junior later smashed the 50 back record leading off the 200 medley relay with a time of 24.82.

The Tribe had 10 event victories during the three days of action, with the women's team finishing second in the team standings behind host WVU.

STARTING OFF
  • So far this year, William & Mary has broken two school records, six dual meet records and eight pool records.
  • Aiden Bonds owns the best time in the CAA in the 50 free (19.73) and 100 free (43.55), both set at the WVU Invitational.
  • Addison is pacing the league in the 50 back at 24.82, followed by Sarah Dunham at 25.33. Addison also holds the fastest time in the 100 back (53.34).
  • Lindsay Juhlin is leading the CAA in all three breast events (50, 100, 200).
  • The Tribe has the fastest 200 medley relay time in the CAA at 1:39.25 thanks to Addison, Juhlin, Lauren Klinefelter, and Caroline Burgeson.

MEET HISTORY
The W&M women are 15-11 all-time in dual meets against George Washington while the men are 10-19. The Revolutionaries swept last year's meeting, the first dual meet between the two schools since 2019-20.

UP NEXT
After the break, swimming will resume competition with the Tribe Quad Meet on Jan. 9 at the Hampton Aquaplex. The Green & Gold will compete against Old Dominion, East Carolina, and Richmond, the latter two women's only.
