WILLIAMSBURG, Va. – After posting tremendous seasons and establishing themselves among the country's top players,
four William & Mary football standouts earned Stats Perform All-America honors.
Linebacker
Luke Banbury was selected to the first team, while cornerback
Jalen Jones and offensive lineman
Ryan McKenna were named to the second team. Defensive lineman
Justin Krueger garnered a spot on the freshman team.
The honor marks the second consecutive season that Jones earned All-America honors from the organization and is his second All-America recognition this season (FCS Football Central). Additionally, Krueger's selection is his second freshman All-America team honor (FCS Football Central).
Banbury, a finalist for the Buck Buchanan Award, made a tremendous impact during his lone campaign in Williamsburg after transferring from Cornell. In addition to ranking fourth nationally in tackles per game (11.4), he finished the season with 137 tackles – the most by a W&M player since 1988 (Kerry Gray, 143).
The Pittsburgh, Pa, native also totaled 2 sacks, 5.5 TFL, six PBU and a fumble recovery en route to garnering CAA Defensive Player of the Week accolades twice.
Banbury, who earned first-team Al-Ivy distinction last season and earned preseason All-America honors this year, finished his career with 278 tackles, 5.5 sacks, 13.5 TFL, two interceptions, 13 passes defended, two forced fumbles and three fumble recoveries.
A three-time first-team All-CAA selection and two-time Buck Buchanan Award Finalist, Jones ranked second in the CAA and 14th nationally with 1.09 passes defended per game in 2025. Additionally, the Chesapeake, Va., native ranked third in the CAA in interceptions (two) and PBU (10), while he finished the year with 39 tackles and 1.5 TFL en route to being chosen as the Defensive Back of the Year in Virginia by the Touchdown Club of Richmond.
Honored as a first-team All-America selection by six organizations last season, Jones ranks second in school history with 52 passes defended, which includes eight interceptions.
The former CAA Defensive Rookie of the Year (2022) was also a finalist for the 2022 Jerry Rice Award, which recognized the nation's top FCS freshman.
McKenna earned national honors after garnering All-CAA distinction each of the last three seasons, including first-team accolades this fall after helping W&M rank fourth in the conference in scoring (29.5) and No. 1 in the league in red zone scoring conversions (91.1%).
A two-time team captain and 2024 Campbell Trophy Semifinalist, McKenna finished his career with 47 starts, which is just one shy of the program record set by B.W. Webb (2008-12) and Peter Reid (1987-91).
Krueger earned his second freshman All-America honor after leading the Tribe in TFL (8.0) and ranking third on the squad in tackles (52) during his rookie campaign. Additionally, the third-team All-CAA selection totaled 2.0 sacks, two forced fumbles and three PBU.
All four standouts played an integral role in helping W&M secure its fifth consecutive winning season in 2025, marking the program's longest stretch of winning seasons since the 1990s.
