WILLIAMSBURG, Va. - In a world where athletes are often defined by their on-court achievements, Kyle Frazier, a senior student-athlete at William & Mary, stands out as a multifaceted individual whose story goes beyond the basketball court.

Frazier's journey is a testament to the power of tradition, the pursuit of excellence, and the simple joys of life.

ROOTS IN NORTH CAROLINA

Hailing from Matthews, North Carolina, Frazier's personality reflects the warmth and vibrancy of his hometown.

Known for its rich athletic history and the largest producer-only farmers market in the Charlotte area, Matthews is a place where tradition and community thrive. Frazier won two state championships for Weddington in 2021 and 2022.

"I am a very outgoing person who likes to make friends and have fun," Frazier shared. "I like to laugh a lot and smile all the time."

It's this infectious positivity that makes Frazier a beloved figure both on and off the court. And not surprisingly, his favorite emoji is the one laughing.

TRADITION MEETS AMBITION

When it came time to choosing a school to transfer to in 2024, Frazier knew he wanted a place that combined his love for basketball and academics. William & Mary offered him the perfect blend.

"There are a lot of reasons I chose William & Mary," Frazier explained. "The two main reasons are because of basketball and academics. Other reasons are because of the amazing and historic area William & Mary is located in. I love the smaller college experience."

Last season, Frazier played in every game for the Tribe, averaging five points per contest and ranking among the team leaders in 3-pointers made.

Frazier's love for history and tradition is evident in his choice of college, but it also extends to his future aspirations.

Beyond basketball, he dreams of traveling the world and working in supply chain management, a field he discovered through an internship with APM Terminals.

"I would like to travel the world and see amazing places," Frazier expressed. "As for a career after, I have had an internship in supply chain and would love to keep working for the same company."

FAMILY TIES AND INSPIRATIONS

Family plays a significant role in Frazier's life, serving as both inspiration and support. His parents, who have taught him everything he knows, are his biggest inspirations.

"My parents because they have taught me everything I know," Frazier shared when asked about his inspirations.

Frazier's childhood memories are filled with basketball games in the driveway with his dad, Keith, and brother, Seth, moments that shaped his love for the sport.

"My first basketball memory is getting beat in the driveway all the time by my dad and brother when I was little," Frazier recalled with a smile.

THE SIMPLE JOYS

While Frazier has grand aspirations, he also finds joy in the simple things in life. Whether it's a family card game or enjoying his Nana's creamed corn, Frazier appreciates the moments that bring his family closer together.

"Playing cards most nights is my favorite family tradition because we hang out as a family and also make fun of each other when someone loses," Frazier shared with a laugh.

In a world that often demands more and more, Frazier's ability to find happiness in the small moments is a refreshing reminder of the importance of balance.

A UNIQUE BLEND

Kyle Frazier's story is a unique blend of tradition and ambition, of family and individuality, of dreams and reality. As he continues his journey at William & Mary and beyond, Frazier remains a shining example of what it means to be a student-athlete who embraces every aspect of life.

With his infectious personality, unwavering dedication, and love for both the present and the future, Frazier is a testament to the power of a multifaceted life well-lived.
