Tribe News and Notes
- Both Tribe opponents this weekend are ranked in the national top 20, meaning three of W&M's first four contests have come against nationally-ranked competition. Harvard and Old Dominion come in at No. 8 and No. 18, respectively, in the preseason poll. W&M's non-conference schedule includes five total games against nationally-ranked foes. The list of Tribe ranked foes also includes No. 3 Virginia and No. 11 Liberty.

- Senior midfielder Pyper Friedman scored the Tribe's first goal of the season, giving W&M a 1-0 lead in the second quarter over Richmond on Sept. 1. It was Friedman's 12th career goal.

- Graduate student goalkeeper Maddie George tallied 10 saves in the Tribe's season-opener at No. 5 Duke. It marked her fifth career game with double-digits saves.

- ODU leads the all-time series with W&M at 54-21, but the Tribe won the last meeting in Williamsburg, downing the Monarchs, 3-2, in double OT during the 2023 season. Last year, ODU picked up a 4-0 win over the Tribe in Norfolk.

- W&M faces the Crimson for the first time since 1997. The Green and Gold holds a 2-1 advantage in the series, including a 3-2 win in Williamsburg the last time the teams met.

- As a team, the Tribe was picked second in the preseason CAA poll by vote of the league coaches along with Drexel. Both teams received 28 points and two first-place votes and trialed only Monmouth, which won the regular season in 2023, with 32 points and three first-place votes.

- George and Friedman were both named to the 13-player preseason All-CAA team, while sophomore Josie Mae Gruendel was one of seven players named to the honorable mention list.
