WILLIAMSBURG, Va.— William & Mary women's soccer saw their three-game win streak, and shutout streak, halted on Thursday night, falling to Monmouth 3-0 in West Long Branch, N.J.

The host Hawks took the first three shots of the game, having two blocked and another off target, before Nora Green-Orset took the Tribe's first shot in the 13th minute missing wide.

Molly Widderich and Ivey Crain took chances just a minute apart. Widderich's try was saved and Crain's was off target as the Tribe tried to flip momentum towards the halfway mark of the first half.

The ball mostly stayed in the midfield for the remainder of the half, but Jazzy Lorenz was called on to make a pair of saves in the 29th and 33rd minutes to keep the match scoreless going into the halftime break.

Shots favored the Hawks after 45 minutes, 12-3. Monmouth also racked up eight corners to the Tribe's zero.

Lorenz made another stop for W&M to keep the game knotted 0-0 in the 50th minute, but the Hawks opened the scoring in the 56th minute. The Monmouth goal ended a streak of 332 minutes without a goal allowed for the Tribe.

Mia Suchora attempted to tie equalize things in the 66th minute for W&M but had her shot stopped by the Hawk keeper.

Monmouth expanded their lead to 2-0 in the 72nd minute.
