Men's Tennis Falls in CAA Opener at Delaware

WILMINGTON, Del. – William & Mary men's tennis dropped its CAA opener at Delaware, 6-1, at the Wilmington Country Club on Sunday afternoon.
 
How It Happened
- W&M (0-2) took the early advantage in doubles behind a victory at the top post by the graduate student pair of Konstantinos Raptis and Bill Duo. The Green and Gold tandem won its first match together, topping UD's Alexandre Gluck and Ids Waterbolk, 6-2.
- The doubles point came down to a pair of tiebreakers at No. 2 and No. 3. The Blue Hens (1-0) took a 1-0 lead behind a pair of close victories.
- In singles, freshman Oliver Hague notched the Tribe's lone point with a come-from-behind three-set win at No. 4. After dropping the opening set to Tobey Lock, 6-4, the Tribe rookie responded by winning the final two sets, 6-3, 6-1, for his 10th win of the year.
- Delaware won a narrow match at No. 1 and a pair of three setters at No. 2 and No. 5 in securing the team triumph.
 
Up Next
The Tribe returns home to take on instate foe James Madison on Saturday, Feb. 3. The contest is set for 10 a.m. at the McCormack-Nagelsen Tennis Center.
