WEST POINT, N.Y. – The William & Mary men's gymnastics team opened the 2024 season with a fifth-place finish at the West Point Open hosted by Army on Friday evening.
Penn State claimed the team title with a 401.3 and was followed by Navy (394.5), Army (388.65), Springfield (381.85) and W&M (359.35).
Highlighting the Tribe's individual performances were two gymnasts who advanced to Saturday's individual event finals (7 p.m.) with top-eight finishes.
Gavin Zborowski earned a spot on floor (13.4), vault (13.95) and high bar (12.7), while
Sam Lee advanced on parallel bars (13.8).
Zborowski was W&M's top all-arounder and placed sixth with a 75.55.
