WILLIAMSBURG, Va. – The William & Mary women's gymnastics team will open the 2024 season when it competes at a pair of historic meets this weekend.
The Tribe will compete in a dual meet at Clemson on Friday at 7 p.m., before heading to Fisk for the MLK Day Invitational on Jan. 15 at 3 p.m.
Friday's opener will mark
Clemson's first gymnastics competition in school history, while the
inaugural MLK Day Invitational will feature all the nation's programs led by African American women's gymnastics head coaches – W&M, Fisk, Brown, Iowa State, Rutgers and Talladega.
The MLK Day Invitational will be held at Vanderbilt University's Memorial Gymnasium and tickets are available at
FiskAthletics.com. The historic meet, which will be broadcast by
ESPN+, is an official event of Nashville's Martin Luther King, Jr. Week of Celebration.
