WILLIAMSBURG, Va. – William & Mary men's tennis captured the doubles point, but No. 38-ranked VCU rallied behind a quartet of singles victories in a 4-1 win on Tuesday afternoon at the Mackesy Tennis Center. The setback snapped W&M's three-match win streak.
How It Happened
- The Tribe (9-10) came out strong, capturing the doubles point for the third time in the last four matches with wins at the top two positions.

George Davis and graduate student
Bill Duo topped Matisse Bobichon and Rayane Stable, 6-2, at the No. 1 post. The Tribe tandem improved to 11-7 on the year with six victories at No. 1.
- Graduate student
Joseph Brailovsky and sophomore
Alexander Karman cemented the point with their third-straight win. The Green and Gold duo downed Joaquim Almeida and Romain Gales, 6-2, at No. 2 to give W&M a 1-0 lead.
- At No. 3 singles, sophomore
Sean Joseph, who has won three in a row, jumped out to a set advantage, winning the first from Stable, 6-3. The Ram player bounced back to win the second, 6-3, but the match was abandoned in the third with the team result decided.
- VCU posted straight-sets wins at No. 1, No. 2, No. 4 and No. 5 to claim the victory and improve to 17-5 on the year.

The Tribe hosts the Colonial Athletic Association Championship beginning on Thursday, April 27, at the Mackesy Tennis Center. Seeds for the championship will be announced on Monday, April 24, with the tournament running from April 27-30.
