WILLIAMSBURG, Va. – William & Mary women's tennis celebrated Senior Day with its fifth-straight win, topping Colonial Athletic Association counterpart UNCW, 6-1, at the McCormack-Nagelsen Tennis Center on Saturday afternoon.
The Tribe (11-4, 4-0 CAA) graduating players factored in the win in both singles and doubles. Graduate student

Alisia Manolescu won two of the Tribe's first three singles matches off the court in the victory.

How It Happened
- The Tribe captured the doubles point with victories at No. 1 and No. 3. Sophomore
Hedda Gurholt and freshman
Emma Pell gave W&M the early lead with win a dominant 6-1 win over Stela Joksimovic and Lauren Robbins at No. 3. The Tribe tandem won its second in a row improving to 5-2.
- Kuzina and Stange won by a similar 6-1 scoreline, upending Eda Arli and Lauren Gish at No. 1 to clinch the initial point of the contest. They moved to 8-2 on the year.
- Stange followed with the Tribe's first singles win at the No. 5 spot, pushing the lead to 2-0. She downed Joksimovic, 6-2, 6-3, for her sixth win in a row. Stange moved to 11-7 overall and 7-1 in dual-match action.
- Van Meeteren and Manolescu cemented the Tribe victory with wins at No. 3 and No. 6, respectively. Van Meeteren dropped just three games in a 6-0, 6-3 triumph over Anna Daniels to run her CAA record to 4-0. She upped her season ledger to 15-8.
- Manolescu clinched the match with a 6-3, 6-4 victory over Gabbie Glickstein at No. 6. She pushed her mark to 11-7 overall and 7-4 in dual-match action.
- Gurholt and sophomore
Emma Fernald rounded out the Tribe victory with come-from-behind three-set wins at No. 1 and No. 4. Both players improved to a perfect 4-0 in CAA play, while also extending their win streaks.
- At No. 1, Gurholt fell in an opening-set tiebreaker before dropping just one more game in a convincing 6-1, 6-0, win over Zoe Huffman. It was her fifth win in a row as she improved to 16-7 overall and 11-3 at the top spot.
- After dropping the opening set to Gish, 6-3, Fernald bounced back with 6-3, 6-1 wins in the final two sets. The Tribe sophomore ran her win streak to four and pushed her record to 15-8 overall and 8-5 on line four.

The Tribe returns to action when it heads to Elon on Saturday, April 8. The match is set for a noon start at the Jimmy Powell Tennis Center.
