ANNAPOLIS, Md. – The William & Mary men's gymnastics team placed third at the Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) Championship with its second-best score of the season at Navy on Saturday afternoon.
Navy claimed the team title with a 395.65 and was followed by Springfield (386.85), W&M (384.25), Army (377.65), Greenville (377.25) and Simpson (346.85).
Christian Marsh highlighted the Tribe's individual performances by winning the rings title with a season-high 13.7.
In total, six W&M standouts earned all-conference honors. Joining Marsh on the podium were
Aidan Cuy (all-around, fourth – 76.15),
Mark Fu (all-around, fifth – career-high 75.7),
Trenton Peazant (vault, tied for second – 14.45),
Samuel Smith (pommel horse, fourth – 12.9) and
Evan Sikra (vault, tied for fifth – 14.05). Peazant's score on vault ranks eighth in W&M's record book.
In addition to posting its second-best overall team score this season, W&M also recorded a season-high 69.9 on vault, which was the meet's top score in the event.
