W&M Clinches No. 4 Seed in 2023 CAA Women’s Basketball Championship presented by Primis

WILLIAMSBURG, Va. – Fresh off back-to-back double-digit victories and matching the program record for conference wins in a single season, William & Mary women's basketball will be the No. 4 seed in 2023 Colonial Athletic Association Championship presented by Primis.

The league tournament will be played at Towson's SECU Arena and runs from Wednesday, March 8 – Sunday, March 12. A limited number of ticket books, which provide admission to all the tournament games, can be purchased through the Tribe Athletics Ticket Office.

W&M will open up against the winner of the No. 5 N.C. A&T vs. No. 12 Hofstra/No. 13 UNCW game in the quarterfinals on Friday, March 10 at 2:30 p.m. The game will be broadcast on FloHoops. The No. 4 seed is the highest for the Tribe since the 2019-2020 season, when the tournament was canceled.

The Green and Gold wrapped up the regular season with a 69-50 victory over Hofstra on Saturday and defeated UNCW 62-48 at Kaplan Arena on Jan. 27. In Greensboro last month, W&M captured a 79-64 victory over the Aggies as five players scored in double digits. The Tribe has never met N.C. A&T in postseason play, and most recently took on Hofstra in the quarterfinals of the 2015 tournament. The year before, W&M fell to UNCW in the tournament's first round.
