WASHINGTON, D.C. — Cassidy Geddes scored a team-high 15 points as No. 8 seed William & Mary held off No. 9 seed N.C. A&T, 61–58, in the second round of the 2026 Credit Union 1 CAA Women's Basketball Championship on Thursday afternoon at CareFirst Arena.

I'm proud of how we responded when they made their run. March is crazy and I'm just glad we get to play one more day."
Alexa Mikeska added 10 points, nine rebounds and five assists for the Tribe, while Marley Long and Natalie Fox each finished with eight points. Jana Sallman also contributed eight points off the bench.
William & Mary shot 45.5% (25-of-55) from the field and forced 18 turnovers in the victory, while holding N.C. A&T to 35.7% shooting.
