WILLIAMSBURG, Va. – After a tremendous performance at the USA Gymnastics Collegiate Championship, William & Mary standout men's gymnast
Aidan Cuy was selected as the College Gymnastics Association Co-Gymnast of the Week.
Cuy shares this week's national honor with Navy's Isaiah Drake and Springfield's Dominic Ramalho.
Also chosen as the Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) Gymnast of the Week, Cuy made history during the opening day of the championship as he earned the USAG Collegiate national title in all-around with a career-high 78.45. En route to posting the impressive score, he recorded a career high on vault (14.15) and a season high on rings (13.1).
Additionally, he advanced to the individual event finals in three events and earned All-America accolades in all of them – parallel bars (3rd, 13.45), rings (6th, 12.8) and vault (6th, 13.9).
One of the conference's top gymnasts this season, Cuy currently ranks first in the ECAC on parallel bars (13.633) and fourth in all-around (75.683).
W&M will vie for the ECAC title at the championship meet hosted by Navy on Saturday at 2 p.m.
