- Karman dropped just four games in winning matching 6-2 sets over Eduardo Morais at No. 6. The Tribe sophomore won his 10th match of the season and improved to 4-3 in dual-match action.
- Rice posted wins at No. 1, No. 2 and No. 5 to secure the team triumph. Kabeer Kapasi edged graduate student Bill Duo in a second-set tiebreaker, 7-6 (2), on line five to clinch the Owls' victory.
- Brailovsky rallied for a three-set win at No. 2. After dropping the opening set to Emir Sendogan, 6-1, the Tribe graduate student came back, winning the final two sets, 6-4, 6-3. It was his team-leading 17th singles win of the year and his sixth at No. 2.
