WILLIAMSBURG, Va. – William & Mary women's tennis dominated in a 7-0 CAA opening win over Towson on Saturday afternoon at the McCormack-Nagelsen Tennis Center.
W&M dropped just one game between the first and third doubles positions and then did not drop a set in winning all six singles matches to improve to 3-1 on the young season.

- The Tribe won the doubles point for the third time in its opening four matches with victories at No. 1 and No. 3. Graduate student

Ine Stange remained undefeated on line three (2-0) with an unblemished 6-0 win over Sania Suchinsky and Nadeen Shrebati.
- Senior
Raffaela Alhach and sophomore
Hedda Gurholt clinched the point with a 6-1 win over Antonia Lawson and Olivia Rothfled at the top spot. The Tribe pair moved to 2-1 in dual-match action.
- The bottom of the Tribe's lineup made quick work of the Tigers (0-2, 0-1 CAA) to secure the team victory with each dropping three or fewest games. Senior
Alisia Manolescu increased the margin to 2-0 with a 6-1, 6-2 victory over Suchinsky at No. 5. She upped her season mark to 6-4.
- Sophomore
Emma Fernald rolled to a 6-0, 6-3 triumph over Erin Gray at No. 4. Fernald is tied for the team lead with nine singles wins on the year and sits 2-1 at No. 4 in dual-match competition.
- Reigning CAA Player of the Week
Emma Pell clinched the Tribe victory for the second time in as many weeks. Playing at No. 6, the Tribe rookie dropped just two games in a convincing 6-0, 6-2 victory over Lawson. She ran her win streak to five matches, improving to 6-2 overall and 3-0 in dual-match action.
- At the top two posts, Gurholt and senior
Elisa Van Meeteren won by matching 6-3, 6-1 scorelines. Gurholt topped Sarah Pospischill for her seventh win in moving to 2-1 at No. 1. Van Meeteren tied Fernald for the team lead in singles victories thanks to her ninth, dispatching of Rothfeld.
- Kuzina made it a perfect day for the Tribe with her seventh win of the year in singles action. She downed Lea Kosanovic, 6-3, 6-2, at No. 3.
