WILLIAMSBURG, Va. – William & Mary volleyball's Olivia Esposito concluded her sophomore campaign with league honors as she was named to the All-CAA Second Team, the conference announced Wednesday.

Esposito was the only sophomore in the conference to earn All-CAA honors, landing in the company of five juniors, seven seniors and five graduate students/fifth years.

The middle blocker had an outstanding season, ranked No. 33 nationally in blocks per set (1.27), which paced the CAA, and earning second place in the conference in both hitting percentage (.367) and total blocks (112). She ranked third on the Tribe in kills per set (1.80) and was fifth in total kills (158). 

Posting dominant numbers throughout the season, Esposito has been ranked as high as No. 17 (Oct. 26) in hitting percentage (.407) and No. 27 (Oct. 12) in blocks per set (1.34).

With her 112 total blocks, Esposito was the first Tribe player to reach triple-digit blocks since Julia Brown's 113 in 2019, falling only a single block short of meeting that mark. Her block total is also just seven shy of Towson's Aayinde Smith's conference-leading mark of 119 at the close of the regular season.

Esposito was named CAA Defensive Player of the Week on Sept. 4 after the Tribe swept at the Bucknell invitational. She totaled 21 blocks with 1.62 blocks per set over three matches and hit .418 with 30 kills on the week.

Setting a career high 11 kills at Old Dominion, Esposito matched that career-best mark in the Tribe's next match at Bucknell. The sophomore tallied eight or more kills with no errors on the attack in three matches. She recorded above a .330 hitting percentage in 15 matches and hit .615 or better in five contests.
