WILLIAMSBURG, Va. – William & Mary Volleyball extended their win streak to four games with a sweep of Elon, 3-0 (25-14, 25-22, 25-20), to remain undefeated at home.
With a pair of victories in straight sets at Hampton last weekend, the Tribe have fallen in only one set over their previous four matches.
The Green and Gold improved to 11-7 on the season and 6-2 in conference play, while the Phoenix fell to 3-14 and 0-8 in the CAA. William & Mary matches Towson's 6-2 CAA record and sits second in the conference standings after sweeping three of its four weekends of CAA action.

Sarah Callender led off the match with a kill, and an attack error from each team followed in suit, giving W&M a lead that they would hold onto through the first set.
In the first frame, The Tribe hit at a .394 clip and held the Phoenix to a .091 hitting percentage. Freshman
Katherine Arnason recorded a pair of kills in the opening frame.
A 5-0 scoring run capped the first set, with kills from

Taylor Burrell (2) and
Eleanor Stothoff and an attack error by Elon. The Tribe took the first set with a score of 25-14, marking their widest margin of victory of the weekend.
The second set was competitive from the jump, as Phoenix outside hitter Sydney Love opened with a kill. A trio of lead changes saw five tied scores and the Tribe completed their battle back in the second frame, jumping out to a 10-7 lead with a pair of kills and a Burrell service ace.

Emma Minnick. W&M also held the Phoenix to only one ace in the match.
Esposito added three blocks and three kills in the set and Callender's four helped the Tribe to extend their lead to 21-17 late in the second.
Maddie Meyers rounded out the second set with a kill to take a 2-0 Tribe lead in the match, 25-22.
Earning the first point of the final set, the Tribe once again held off a Phoenix lead, this time for the victory. After trading points to begin the frame, an Elon service error broke a 3-3 tie and the Green and Gold took the advantage in the set.
Burrell added five kills in the third, totaling a team-leading 10 in the match and earning double-digit kills for the 14
th time in 18 matches.
An attack error by Elon's Lindsey Harris shut the door on the Tribe's fourth win in as many matches by a score of 25-20 in the third set.

The Tribe takes to the road for a pair of weekend matches at in Hempstead, N.Y., as they take on Hofstra in two 1 p.m. matches on Saturday, Oct. 14 and Sunday, Oct. 15.
After that, the Green and Gold will return to Kaplan Arena for William & Mary homecoming weekend, hosting NC A&T at 7 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 19 and 7 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 20. These matches will feature W&M volleyball alumni recognition as well as events over the course of the weekend.
