En route to claiming a share of the CAA title, the Tribe equaled a school record for wins (11) and posted program records for regular season victories (10) and road triumphs (6). Additionally, W&M earned a No. 5 seed in the NCAA Playoffs and advanced to the quarterfinals.

A large number of players also excelled individually as 13 Tribe standouts combined to earn 15 all-conference honors, including a school-record-tying seven first-team selections. Additionally, linebacker John Pius was a consensus All-America choice and finished runner-up for the Buck Buchanan Award, which honors the nation's defensive player of the year at the Football Championship Subdivision (FCS) level. Offensive lineman Colby Sorsdal and defensive end Nate Lynn also earned All-America honors, while cornerback Jalen Jones was a finalist for the Jerry Rice Award for national freshman of the year.

W&M is poised to build upon its top-10 finish next fall when it returns 18 players who have earned at least 10 career starts (10 offense / 8 defense), highlighted by seven all-conference standouts. Season ticket deposits for the 2023 campaign can be made at TribeAthletics.com.
