WILLIAMSBURG, Va. – William & Mary extended its unbeaten streak to five and played even with defending Colonial Athletic Association Champion Hofstra in a scoreless draw at Martin Family Stadium at Albert-Daly Field on Saturday night.
Both teams finished the game with nine shots. The Tribe put three chances on goal, while the Green and Gold defense held the Pride (5-2-1, 2-1-1 CAA) without a chance on frame in earning its third-straight shutout.
The best chance of the game came in the 71st minute. Senior
Alexander Levengood played a nice through ball to speedy freshman
Webb Kosich. The rookie striker raced into the box, but his shot was blocked by an on-rushing Wessel Speel. It was one of Speel's three saves on the evening.
The Tribe (2-2-4, 2-1-1 CAA) generated five corner kicks, including four in the second half, compared to one for the visitor. Senior forward
