GENEVA, N.Y. – Six William & Mary field hockey student-athletes were selected to the 2022 National Field Hockey Coaches Association Watch List, the organization announced on Thursday.
Graduate student
Aidan Rossman, seniors
Lauren Curran and
Audrey Domovich, juniors
Maddie George and
Jayden Moon and sophomore
Pyper Friedman were all selected to the list, which included 115 Division I players. In total, 254 collegiate student-athletes across all three divisions were nominated to the 2022 NFHCA Watch List.
The list is intended to represent those collegiate student-athletes with the strongest potential for consideration to the 2022 NFHCA All-Region and All-American teams. It does not constitute a nomination or selection to the NFHCA All-Region or All-American teams. Student-athletes not listed on the NFHCA Watch List may still be nominated for NFHCA All-Region and All-American recognition.
The group has helped the Tribe to a 5-1 start to the season, including a trio of nationally-ranked victories. W&M ascended it's to highest national ranking since 2004 at No. 16 in the latest poll released on Tuesday.
W&M faces a pair of nationally-ranked opponents this weekend. W&M travels to No. 25 James Madison on Friday, Sept. 16, before playing host to No. 11 UConn on Sunday. The Tribe-Dukes match-up will be streamed on ESPN+ at 6 p.m. on Friday. Sunday's nationally-ranked tilt with the Huskies carries an 11 a.m. start time and will be broadcast on FloLive.
