WILLIAMSBURG, Va. – William & Mary men's tennis suffered a narrow 4-2 setback to UTSA on Senior Day at the Mackesy Tennis Center at the Millie West Courts on Saturday afternoon.
 
Prior to the match, the Green and Gold celebrated its senior class, playing in its final match of the season at home. W&M honored the group of graduate students Harrison Brown, Chen Ruo, Finbar Talcott and Sebastian Quiros as well as senior Jack Kelly prior to the match against Roadrunners.
 
W&M (10-6) took the doubles point to open the match thanks to wins at the top two positions. Ruo and Joseph Brailovsky got the Tribe off to a good start with a 6-3 win over Tiago Torres and Sebastian Rodriguez at the No. 2 spot. The Tribe tandem improved to 18-4 on the year with their 12th dual-match victory.
 
Brown and junior George Davis clinched the point with a 7-5 triumph over Joao Ceolin and Javier Gonzalez at the top spot. The duo ran its win streak to eight matches, improving to 17-5 on the year and 11-4 at No. 1.
 
In singles, Brown won his second-straight match, dropping just four games in a 6-0, 6-4 win over Ceolin on line two. Brown ran his season ledger to 17-5 while upping his dual-match mark to 10-4.
 
Unfortunately, the Roadrunners (10-9) picked up the team triumph by winning four of the five finished singles matches. Danijal Muminovci clinched the visitor's win with a three-set victory at No. 4.
 
Up Next: The Tribe returns to action with its regular-season finale at Old Dominion on Saturday, April 16, at 1 p.m. It will be the teams second meeting of the 2022 season.
