WILLIAMSBURG, Va. – The William & Mary men's gymnastics team placed third at the Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) Championship with its best score of the season at Kaplan Arena on Saturday afternoon.
Navy claimed the team title with a 401.85 and was followed by Springfield (387.05), W&M (385.25) and Army (384.85).
Senior
Christian Marsh highlighted the Tribe's individual performances by
winning the rings title with a career-high 14.45 – a score that ranks fifth in W&M's record book and is the nation's fourth-best mark in the event this season. He also garnered all-conference honors by placing second in all-around with a career-best 78.75, which ranks sixth in W&M's record book, and fourth on pommel horse (12.8).
In total, four W&M standouts combined to earn nine all-conference honors. Joining Marsh on the podium were sophomore
Sam Lee (vault, third – 14.25; parallel bars, third – career-high 13.9; high bar, fifth – 13.2), junior
Aidan Cuy (vault, fifth – 14.05; all-around, fourth – 78.0) and sophomore
Ahmir Postell (rings, fifth – career-high 13.65).
In addition to posting its best overall team score of the 2022 campaign, W&M also recorded season-highs on rings (67.35) and parallel bars (65.7).
