ANNAPOLIS, Md. – The William & Mary men's gymnastics team placed third at the USA Gymnastics Collegiate National Championship hosted by Navy on Friday afternoon.
Navy claimed the team title with a 400.45 and was followed by Air Force (394.05), W&M (381.05) and Springfield (375.95).
The individual all-around title was also awarded on Friday afternoon, as
Christian Marsh earned USAG Collegiate All-America honors by placing sixth with a 75.95.
Aidan Cuy narrowly missed garnering All-America honors and placed seventh with a 75.55.
In addition to the All-America honors, four Tribe standouts advanced to Saturday's individual event finals –
Christian Gulotta on pommel horse (12.85),
Zachary Patrick on rings (13.05),
Christian Marsh on parallel bars (13.35) and
Sam Lee on parallel bars (13.2) and high bar (12.2). Additionally,
Will Harrington earned a spot as an alternate on floor (13.3).
As a team, W&M's overall score marked its second-best performance of the 2022 campaign, while it posted a season-high on vault (68.35).
The individual finals will get underway on Saturday at 2 p.m., as the top six scorers in each event will earn All-America honors.
