STATESBORO, GA. - The William & Mary bats bounced back as the Tribe had five extra-base hits Sunday afternoon, but costly mistakes in the field would lead to a 7-3 defeat at Georgia Southern. Tribe starter

Ben Williamson and
Matt Thomas would both hit solo homers for the Green and Gold, while

After a scoreless first, the Eagles would string together three hits to score a run, and then take advantage of a costly Tribe error to go ahead 3-0 in the second. William & Mary would answer immediately in the third as Thomas and Williamson would hit back to back solo homers over the wall in left.
Noah Ledford would make it a two run game with a solo shot to lead off Georgia Southern's bottom of the third. In the top of the fourth,
Mark Trotta walked and moved to third on Ragone's double. Trotta would come around on a Thomas sac fly to make it a one run game.
