2023-24 Season
Named to the CAA Commissioner’s Academic Honor Roll during the fall.
Cross Country: Competed in a pair of events … Placed 27th at the Spider Alumni Open (9/2/23) in a time of 18:47.1 … Finished 143rd (25:20.2) at the Paul Short Run (9/30/23).
Indoor Track & Field: Earned All-CAA honors … Scored in three events at the CAA Championships … Garnered a bronze medal as a member of the Distance Medley Relay … Ran a leg on the fourth-place finishing 4x800m relay at the championships … Advanced to the finals and finished fifth in the mile, crossing the line in 4:10.53 … Ran a 4:08.78 at the Darius Dixon Memorial Invitational (2/9/24), which was the 67th-best time in the Southeast Region … Finished third in the 1000m (2:30.57) at the Navy Indoor Invitational (12/2/23) … Placed eighth in the 3000m (8:43.77) at the Navy Select (2/16/24).
Outdoor Track & Field: Earned All-CAA honors … Received a bronze medal, finishing third in the 1500m with a season-best time of 3:48.47 at the CAA Championships (5/10-11/24) … Ran the 5000m at the event as well … Placed sixth in the 800m (1:55.01) at the Fred Hardy Invitational (3/22/24) … Ran a leg on the winning 4x1500m relay at the Colonial Relays (4/4-6/24) … Placed 15th in the 1500m (3:49.89) at the Virginia High Performance (4/28/24) … Finished ninth in the 1500m (3:54.52) at the Liberty Twilight Qualifier (5/1/24).

2022-23 Season
Earned CAA Commissioner’s Academic Honor Roll distinction
Cross Country: Captured All-CAA honors… Led the way for the Tribe at the CAA Championship (10/28/22), finishing 14th with a time of 25:23.00…. Finished 77^th at the NCAA Southeast Regional (11/11/22) in 31:28.7… Held his own against a field stacked with regionally-ranked programs, finishing 66^th at the Virginia XC23 Invitational on Oct. 15… Paced W&M at the Paul Short Run (9/30/22), crossing the finish line in 120^th… Helped the Tribe finish first at the CNU Regional Preview (09/16/22) with a 4th-place run of 24:38.3… Opened the season by running a 15:34.3 to take 23^rd at the Charlotte Opener (9/2/22). 
Outdoor Track & Field: Captured All-East honors with a third-place showing in the 1,500m at the IC4A Championship (5/13/23), running a 3:44.13… Finished just off the podium at the CAA Championships (5/6/23) with a run of 3:45.71 in the 1,500m… Ran the ninth-fastest time by a W&M athlete in the mile, 4:02.69, at the Virginia High Performance Meet (4/30/23)… And clinched the No. 9 spot on W&M’s all-time performers list in the 1,500m with a 3:43.75 at Wake Forest (4/21/23). 
 
2021-22 Season 
Cross Country: Helped lead W&M to a CAA Championship (10/30/21), finishing 3^rd with a time of 25:06.40… Named CAA Runner of the Week three times… Finished 44^th overall in a time of 30:33.4 at the NCAA Southeast Regional Championship (11/12/21), the fastest time by a CAA runner at the event… Took 9^th place at the Virginia XC23 Invitational (10/15/21) with a run of 24:35.6… Paced the Green and Gold at the Paul Short Run (10/1/21) with a 57^th-place showing of 24:24.6… Recorded a top-10 showing at the Virginia Invitational (9/17/21) with a time of 24:56.5… Got the season started with a 1^st place run at the William & Mary Invitational (9/11/21), crossing the finish line in 18:56.34.
Indoor Track & Field: Placed seventh overall in the mile at the IC4A Championships (3/6/22)… Was first with a time of 2:26.27 in the 1,000m a the Navy Select (2/18/22)… Was second in the 3,000m run at the Liberty Open (2/5/22)… Was part of the distance medley relay that finished third at the Patriot Games (1/29/22). 
Outdoor Track & Field: Finished top-10 in the 1,500m at the IC4A Championships (5/14/22)… Was part of the 4xMile relay team which finished in 16:50.78, the ninth-best time in Tribe history, at the Penn Relays (4/30/22)… Was part of the 4xMile relay team which finished in 16:50.78, the ninth-best time in Tribe history, at the Penn Relays (4/30/22)… Took third in the 1,500m at the Colonial Relays (4/1/22)… Won the 1,500m in 3:52.16 at the Dan Stimson Memorial (3/26/22). 

At Charleston Southern
Cross Country: Ran a time of 25:30.4 in the 8K CSU Invitational in his spring cross country debut in 2021, placing 17th … Placed among the field's top-40 in the 8K FSU Winter XC Classic with a time of 26:18.4 in February of 2021 … Ran a personal-best time of 24:39.6 to place ninth at the 8K Big South Cross Country Championships … Earned All-Big South Conference honors… Track & Field: Sixth in the 800m and seventh in the 1,500m at the Big South Outdoor Track & Field Championships … Earned All-Big South Conference honors in both events … Ran his career-best time of 1:54.8 in the prelims of the Big South Championships in the 800 … Rank a career-best 3:50.51 at the North Florida Invite, placing 12th in the 1,500m … Earned Big South All-Conference honors in indoor track as a member of the DMR that placed third … Named to the Dean’s List during both his freshman and sophomore years. 
 
Prep
Competed in basketball, football, cross country and track & field at Fort Defiance … Named the Indian Pride Award (MVP) in basketball (2018), cross country (2018) and outdoor track (2019) … Selected as the 2019 For Defiance Male Athlete of the Year… Won two state championships … Won the 500m indoor state championship in 2018 … Was part of the 4x800m outdoor state championship relay in 2019 … Earned All-State honors in cross country, placing sixth at the state meet … Posted a GPA above 3.5 throughout high school … A member of the National Honors Society and FCA … Served in a mentorship program at the local elementary school. 
 
Personal
Son of Kevin and Sara Jones … Born in Keflavik, Iceland … Father, Kevin, played baseball at Radford University (1987-89) and Methodist (1990-91) … Enjoys hiking, cooking, and hanging out with friends … Earned his Bachelor of Science in Applied Mathematics from W&M in May of 2024.
