TOWSON, MD. - William & Mary rallied to win the final three sets, completing an epic comeback in a historic win Thursday in the CAA quarterfinal round. The Tribe bested No. 2 seed Hofstra three sets to two to earn the program's first CAA Tournament victory since 2001.
The Green and Gold outscored Hofstra 65-44 in complete dominance after the opening two frames. William & Mary will meet the winner of Charleston and Delaware in the CAA semifinal round tomorrow at 6:30 p.m.

Eleanor Stothoff led the way for the Tribe offense with 17 kills on a .289 percentage.
Maddie Meyers stuffed the stat sheet with 14 kills, seven digs, three blocks, and two service aces.
Taylor Burrell had 10 kills, none bigger than the final point to close out the win.
Amy Schwem dished out 28 assists, while
Emma Minnick had 17 assists and 17 digs.
Anna Porter added 10 digs and 13 assists, while
Olivia Esposito recorded seven blocks.
The Tribe jumped out to an 11-7 lead early in the first frame, but a .058 hitting percentage would bite William & Mary as Hofstra took the opening set 25-19. Stothoff was hot early with five kills, hitting .444 in the set and Schwem dished out seven assists to go with a pair of digs. The Tribe had 13 kills to Hofstra's nine, but the Pride only had three errors to 10 from the Green and Gold.
The teams battled in the early going of the second stanza to a 9-9 tie before the Pride used a 3-0 lead to build separation. Hofstra would ride that momentum to a 25-20 second set win despite the Tribe hitting .344 in the set. Stothoff added five more kills in the frame and Schwem tacked on nine more assists. Meyers slammed three kills without erroring in the set.
The Tribe bounced back, rushing out a 6-3 lead early in the third set. The lead would remain three until a pair of blocks from Esposito would give the Tribe a 16-11 edge. Another Esposito block and a pair of Meyers service aces would extend the lead to 20-12 and the Green and Gold cruised to a 25-14 set win. The Tribe held Hofstra to -.027 hitting in the third.
It was William & Mary once again jumping on the Pride in the fourth as the Green and Gold jetted to a 14-6 lead in the opening moments of the set behind a pair of aces from Burrell. Smith slammed four kills as the Tribe hit .393 in the eventual 25-18 set to force a deciding fifth.
Two Stothoff kills and one from Meyers opened up a 3-1 Tribe lead in the fifth.
Sabrina Malcolm added a pair of kills to extend the lead to 7-4 before Burrell made it 8-4 slamming an overpass home for a kill. Hofstra cut it to 9-8, but another kill from Stothoff and a Pride error gave the Tribe the 11-8 advantage. As the Tribe held a 14-12 lead, Burrell smoked home a first ball kill to seal the 15-12 win and complete the comeback.
