John Pius was added to the
2022 Buck Buchanan Award Watch List. The award honors the FCS national player of the year.
Pius joins teammate
Nate Lynn on the exclusive list, as Lynn garnered the distinction during the preseason.
Pius currently leads the nation (FCS) in sacks (9.5) and TFL (14.5). The Arlington, Va., native has also totaled a team-high 40 tackles with three pass breakups.
In addition to posting a pair of sacks in W&M's win against No. 6 Delaware, he recorded 3.5 sacks in the victory at Lafayette and 1.5 sacks and 4.5 TFL in the triumph at Charlotte.
With wins in five of its first six games, the Tribe (5-1) is off to its best start since 2010 and returns to action when it plays at Towson on Saturday at 4 p.m.
