ANNAPOLIS, Md. – The William & Mary men's gymnastics team placed fourth at the Navy Open on Saturday afternoon in Annapolis, Md.
Penn State claimed the team title with a 385.85 and was followed by the host Mids (384.2), Springfield (372.65), W&M (367.45) and Temple (334.1).
Aidan Cuy,
Christian Marsh and
Sam Lee highlighted the Tribe's individual performances with top-10 finishes in multiple events. Cuy placed fifth on vault (14.05) and ninth on floor (12.85), while Marsh finished fourth on parallel bars (13.45), tied for sixth on rings (13.2) and eighth on pommel horse (11.55). Lee finished seventh on parallel bars (12.9) and 10th on floor (12.85).
Event Recaps
Floor, 61.05 – Cuy (12.85) and Lee (12.6) both recorded top-10 finishes on floor and placed ninth and tied for 10th, respectively.
Pommel Horse, 56.1 – Marsh's eighth-place finish on pommel horse (11.55) was W&M's top score in the event, while
Sam Piper also contributed to the team total with a 11.25.
Rings, 62.25 – Marsh (13.2) and
Ahmir Postell (13.0, career high) led the way on rings with top-10 finishes and placed sixth and tied for 10th, respectively.
Vault, 67.95 – Cuy equaled his career high on vault (14.05) to place fifth, while Lee finished just outside the top 10 with a 14.05.
Parallel Bars, 62.85 – Marsh nearly matched his career best on parallel bars and placed fourth with a 13.45, while Lee finished seventh with a 12.9.
High Bar, 57.25 – Lee posted W&M's top score on high bar with a 12.35.
All-Around – Cuy competed as the Tribe's lone all-arounder and placed fourth (73.3).

W&M will return to action when it makes a return trip to Navy for a dual meet next Saturday at 2 p.m.
