WASHINGTON, D.C.- William & Mary men's soccer fell 2-0 in a preseason tune-up at American University Saturday afternoon. The hosts scored a goal in each half and kept a clean sheet in the match.
Despite the scoreline, the Tribe had eight shots in the contest.
John Andrew Eskay led all players with three shots in the match. Overall 19 different players saw action in the scrimmage for coach Norris including a pair of goalkeepers.
Will Stack and
Connor Andrews split the 90 minutes each allowing a goal. Stack made a pair of saves and Andrews made one stop in the outing.
The match served as the lone tune-up for the Tribe before beginning regular season play on September 7 at Old Dominion.
