WILLIAMSBURG, Va. – William & Mary women's tennis junior Mila Saric was named the Tribe Leader of the Week presented by the Virginia Lottery on Tuesday. The Tribe Leader of the Week recognizes exceptional William & Mary student-athletes for their contributions as leaders in the classroom and the community.
 
On the court, Saric earned All-CAA honors and was named the league's Rookie of the Year in 2019. Last season, she topped W&M with 14 wins, including two against nationally-ranked opponents. Saric also earned VaSID All-State honors in both singles and doubles.
 
Saric is a double major in psychology and finance with a marketing concentration. She is a two-time W&M Provost Award winner and an ITA Scholar-Athlete. Saric has been named to the Dean's List on four occasions and is a three-time CAA Commissioner's Academic Honor Roll selection.
 
Saric served on the William & Mary Student-Athlete Advisory Committee. She helped organizing community engagement events including a food drive and toy drive. Back home in Los Cristianos-Arona, Tenerife, Spain, Saric was part of a group in high school that worked with and did a number of activities, including sports, dancing and cooking, weekly with the disabled children.
