WILLIAMSBURG, Va. – Junior running back
Donavyn Lester was selected as the William & Mary Student-Athlete of the Week presented by the Virginia Lottery after a tremendous performance in the Tribe football team's 40-14 victory against Towson on Saturday.
Lester highlighted a dominant performance by the Tribe's rushing attack that piled up 339 yards on the ground versus Towson, as he posted a team-high 99 rushing yards on 13 carries with a career-high three touchdowns. The Plano, Texas native averaged 7.6 yards per carry.
One of the Colonial Athletic Association's top running backs this season, he ranks among the conference's top 10 in rushing yards per game (69.6) and rushing touchdowns (5).
An outstanding student, Lester is majoring in business and has earned CAA Commissioner's Academic Honor Roll distinction every year of his career.
