WILLIAMSBURG, Va. – William & Mary men's swimming sophomore
Conor Sokolowsky was named the Tribe Leader of the Week presented by the Virginia Lottery on Tuesday. The Tribe Leader of the Week recognizes exceptional William & Mary student-athletes for their contributions as leaders in the classroom and the community.
In the pool, Sokolowsky was a three-event finalist at his first CAA Championships in 2020, including a sixth-place finish in the 400 IM. A computer science major, he sports a near perfect GPA. He was named a Provost's Award in 2020 and has been selected to the CAA Commissioner's Academic Honor Roll during each of his semesters at William & Mary.
On campus, Sokolowsky is a member of the Student Assembly and has been twice elected Class of 2023 President. He entered W&M as a 1693 Scholar, one of just eight in the university's entering class.
Since April of 2020, Sokolowsky has served as a Grant and Market Research Intern for Virginia PACE Authority which is a green nonprofit startup. As part of his efforts, he helped secure over $100,000 of grant funding. Sokolowsky also served as a Research Assistant and Software Developer for the Geospatial Evaluation and Observation Lab in Williamsburg, Va., from 2019-20.
