Dear Tribe Community,
Â
Thank you for making these past four years the best I could have ever asked for. From when I first stepped foot on campus my freshman year, I have never felt more loved and accepted in a community. To my teammates, thank you for being my sisters and best friends. Thank you for letting me be myself and for helping me develop a culture of winning in our program. Thank you for competing with me day in and day out, and for being the main reason I am leaving William & Mary as part of the winningest class in school history. Having our season cut short this year was not something any of us saw coming--it was honestly some of the toughest news I have ever had to process. But after reflecting these last couple of weeks, I realize that nothing can take away from the season we had. We broke records both as a team and individually, we made other teams respect us, we developed bonds with each other that will last a lifetime, and most importantly, we had fun doing it. I can honestly say this year was the most fun I have ever had playing the sport I love.Â

To my coaches, thank you for challenging me to step outside of my comfort zone and for encouraging me to be a leader. Thank you for helping me find my role and purpose on the team, both on and off the court. The past four years have not only molded me into a better basketball player, but also a better person as well. Through injuries and struggles with confidence on the court, I have learned how to fight through trials. From seeing where our team was at when I got here to where it is now, I have learned the importance of hard work and perseverance. Through having the opportunity to be a senior leader, I have learned to come out of my shell and encourage those around me, while also holding them accountable. I am so thankful for all of these life lessons the game of basketball has provided me with and cannot wait to carry them over into my future endeavors in life. William & Mary will always be home, and I am already looking forward to coming back to watch my teammates bring home a championship.
