WALLACE, N.C. – The William & Mary women's golf team fired a 608 (+32) in the first two rounds of the River Landing Classic on Monday and is in eighth place. Three teams, High Point, USC Upstate, and Boston, are tied for the first day lead at 590 (+14).
 
Senior Allison Olberding paced the Tribe on the first day of the event as she fired a team-low 151 (+7) and is tied for 23rd. Olberding fired a 77 (+5) in the first round, before improving to a 74 (+2) in the second round.
 
Sophomore Sarah Houle recorded the Tribe's best round of the day as she carded a 73 (+1) in the second round. Freshman Cindy Zhou carded a 75 (+3), while junior Madison Braman shot a 74 (+2), and freshman Mikah McDonnell had a 77 (+5) all in the first round.

Junior Madison Braman is tied for fourth in the tournament par-3 scoring at even par … Senior Allison Olberding is tied for fourth in the event in par-5 scoring at one-under par … For the second straight event, freshman Mikah McDonnell improved her 36-hole best score to 155 (+12) … McDonnell also matched her career-low score with a 77 (+5) in the first round.
