Football’s Carl Fowler Named Tribe Leader of the Week

WILLIAMSBURG, Va. – William & Mary football junior Carl Fowler was named the Tribe Leader of the Week presented by the Virginia Lottery on Monday. The Tribe Leader of the Week recognizes exceptional William & Mary student-athletes for their contributions as leaders in the classroom and the community.
 
Named a team captain for the 2020-21 season, Fowler started all 12 games a season ago and 18 over his first two years. He owns 12 tackles for loss over his first two campaigns and tallied three sacks in 2019.
 
Off the field, Fowler was named a CAA representative on the NCAA Football Oversight Committee Student Action Group during the fall. He is active volunteer in both the Durham, N.C. and Williamsburg communities. Over the summer, Fowler, along with teammates Michael Jackson, organized the Durham-Raleigh March Against Injustice.
 
Fowler has excelled a high-level in the classroom as well. A Provost Award winner and member of the Dean's list, Carl graduated cum laude in just three years from William & Mary and is currently enrolled in the Law School.
